Under the rehabilitation programs, GEAR trains widows, school drop-outs and poor girls, in Vocational skills to make them economically independent. 

GEAR started a training centre in 2017 (Academic year 2017-2018) called, Poshak, for Tailoring and Fashion Design. This centre runs a two year course and has been benefiting the community since last three years. 

Recently, GEAR added a similar centre, Poshak (Lucknow) at Keshavnagar, Jankipuram, Lucknow.

GEAR plans to add courses in English Speaking, Computer Literacy, and Personality Development, to improve the employability of less fortunate and less educated of the community.

Poshak Allahabad recently held an exhibition cum sale of the products made by its students to apprise the community of the standards achieved. It also familiarized the students with the commercial aspect of dress making, particularly the costing and pricing of the dresses. On display were embroidered bedsheets, fancy table cloths, beautiful cushion covers, casual and party dresses, as well as a few traditional bridal suits.

Lion’s club officer, Mr. Sibte Asghar Rizvi, and Ex-Director, Education & Trainning (Govt.of India), Mr. Qamarul Hasan, attended and encouraged the students.
